Hi, Ima Poolee In Bedford tx, and i was wondering since ive not gone through boot camp yet, can i get a Tattoo? Not a bad 1 but it means something to me and i told my parents i was gonna get it when i turned 18 but then i enlisted, So i dont know if the policy says we cant have 1 or can.:banana::usmc:

Yes you can have tattoos but I would advise against getting anything until you are stationed somewhere. Getting anything now is just going to create a headache for your recruiter. Same with getting anything while at SOI or in any schoolhouse.

I suggest not to, like Josephd said, wait till you get to a duty station or at least to MCT or ITB.

Wait until you graduate from Boot Camp. While a member of the DEP, if you get a tattoo you may end up disqualifing yourself. Depending on the placement, size, nature of the tattoo the Marine Corps...
