I have a few questions about the humps (backpack hikes) in bootcamp. I have a ILBE and i have done a few to PT and work my endurance. The longest one i have done is a 15 mile hump with 55lbs my area has some mean hills. The last mile and a half i can barely remember as i was getting dehydrated and the only thing i could mutter was "i will complete my mission" sounds retarded now but it kept me motivated
My first question is how much weight is in the packs for the regular humps and how much weight is in them for the crucible? The reason i am asking is the only answer i get from the Marines that come back from bootcamp is "there freakin heavy".
Also how long of a hump is the crucible? I have heard 10mi but i would just like to double check. Thanks for the help Poolees and Marines
