Good day all, well, one week away from my second child leaving home to serve our country. Pride doesn't begin to describe it. Sadness and fear doesn't either. But, I'm a parent, so that's ok. He's wanted to be a Marine since he was in 7th grade, and no man is going to stop that from happening - least of all, his dad.
We have a meeting with the recruiter tonight to understand the loose ends if there are any, and for me to ask one more time, what's gonna happen next. As this is my second kid, the first is in the USArmy, I have some clue what to ask - but would love any input anyone has.
He has his contract, and MOS, and those details. I think there's some variables yet in play here with regards to training, etc. So I'll probe those.
Anything else I should really poke at?
