Time Between SOI and Recruit Training for Reservists

I'm a graduate student who is considering enlisting in the Marine reserves. I'm pretty sure the answer is "no", but is it possible to do Recruit Training during one summer and SOI the next? I assume SOI would be more difficult with such a time gap.

Split Program... Talk to your Local Recruiter... Fairly simple process, however only a certain % of Resere slots can be split in a given year...
