View Full Version : Westboro Baptist Church Plans Protest At Funeral Of Fallen Hero

Specialist Dale J. Kridlo, 33 of Hughestown Pennsylvania, was killed November 7, 2010in Kunar province, Afghanistan, from wounds suffered by insurgents attacks on their unit with small arms fire.
He was assigned to the 27th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC.
I cannot think of a word to describe the members of the Westboro Baptist Church, who plan to stage a protest Wednesday at Kridlo’s funeral service at , 35 William St., Pittston Pennsylvania, scheduled for 9:45 a.m.
It is going to be interesting to see what happens to these scumbags, as the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania plan on coming out in droves to shield the members of Kridlo's from the actions of these brainless bastards.

The best thing to do is to ignore those turds. Although I would love to see them take a royal ass whoopin', that's what they want. Check around for the story about what happened to them in OK last week. Seems their van acquired 2 flat tires and they had to drive out of town on two flats cause no one would come fix it. I suspect they will get theirs in the end! They have protested several funerals in MD and I hope I am around the day they get what is coming to them!

The group had a moment of "inconvenience" at their latest "gathering" (in Ardmore, OK).
It seems some dastardly vandals flattened all 4 tires on their SUV and no one in town had any new tires to help them out.
Finally, someone hauled the SUV to a tire center several miles away and the Phelps' were finally able to get on their way.
Wouldn't it have been nice if the auto center still had some old new Firestones on the rack?

That would be a beautiful thing! I have always thought the best way would be to follow them for a little while, then beat the hell out of them an hour later. No witnesses. By the way, if you search the internet, you can find the article, which shows their license plate number in the picture! Priceless! If I were intelligent enough, I would find it and post the picture here.....so everyone could have the tag #. Perhaps one of you smarter folks could do so!

They were here in Atlanta a few months ago - hitting a couple of Jewish spots in town. I tried to get in on something but, traffic out the ying yang kept me from being able to even park and get out somewhere. I took a pic of them standing on one corner down at Emory U and Dekalb Co had sent their biggest, badest men out there to make sure nothing got out of hand.

They're already there. They were part of the procession from the airport to the funeral home yesterday morning.....and standing out front of the Armory were Spc Kridlo is being viewed for the public, holding American flags.
And I heard this afternoon, more bikers are on the way.

I know that the smartest thing to do is to ignore these idiots, but I'm not sure what I would do if they were in front of me, flesh and blood. I really don't ... just seeing them on the news makes me want to throw a chair at the screen.

WBC's tires were slashed in the passenger side and no one in the town of McAlester, OK would repair them so the had to call someone from a town several miles away and have it towed to be repaired. I...

WBC only wants someone to act out and touch one of them. Just remember 14 of the WBC are lawyers and they know the law to well they want another pay day. Let the Guard do what they do best, block they and keep them at bay.
I am the former Asstant State Captain for the CT Patriot Guard, the best thing to do is turn your back on them and ignore them.
Although every bone in my body tells me to reach out and TOUCH someone!!!! :evilgrin:

Just got in about 45 minutes ago from Spc Kridlo's funeral.....and didn't see any of these yahoos there.
Hundreds from the community turned out in support of the family. Members of the Patriot Guard Riders, Friends of the Forgotten, Rolling Thunder, and even saw a few from The Outlaws where there.
It was extremely difficult to hold back tears hearing one of Kridlos' twin daughters crying as they carried her father out of church.
Spc Kridlo will be buried at Arlington National cemetery tomorrow afternoon with full military honors.
May he rest in peace.

As someone once remarked, to show these people of this particular church exactly what it feels like to endure their disruptions, it would be nice, as an object lesson, to open up their doors during one of their church services, and then have numerous Patriot Guard guys and gals on bikes, roar into the church building and rev the engines for fifteen minutes or so.
Now, this would not only be "justice" but would cause the church to be up in arms immediately, crying about how unfair it is that someone would disrupt a church service, not even pausing to say oops, we do the very same thing but we do it at funerals.......self-hypocrisy is hardly ever seen.

WBC keeps the doors locked at all time during service and they do not care what other people think or say when they show up on cycles reven the engines. Been done before !!!. Even the flat tires in McAlester OK did nothing to them but cuase them to fix some tires and move on to the next place. They have had the church building taged several times and nothing has stopped them so far. If they would only break the law in some way that is not considered free speech a little jail time would help.

Someone can call the Patriot Guard Riders....they've won every confrontation with this group at funerals. Something about guys with Harleys and preformance exhaust systems that drown out asshats who want to make noise and protest.

The father of Spc Kridlo called the Patriot Guard Riders, and they were there. They were there to shield the family from these yahoos, but they never showed up, so no one got into any confrontations with anyone.
Spc Kridlo was laid to rest yesterday afternoon with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.

Phelps wouldn't know right from wrong if it hit him between the eyes. And he gives believers and Christians a bad name. People look at him and say, is this what folks do in the name of religion?? Sadly enough, yes, sometimes, but they are not acting on behalf of God, just their own conception of who God really is, and if they had any real conception of that, they would not be doing what they are doing with regard to these funerals.
If it happened to them, they would be the first ones screaming about how their rights were violated. Imagine if they could not hold their church services because of a thousand roaring Harley engines outside the building? They would be in court within an hour. Hypocrisy at its very worst.
Have to disagree with part of what you say, for it has happened before that several motorcycles appeared outside of the church during service and nothing was done by the WBC. This I belive is in part do to them knowing that if they sat anything they will be going against what they do. And yes I was one who was there and it did nothing to stop them in any way as I knew it would. Until we have a court say they are wrong with what they do it will not stop. S/F Butch

The fact that so many people rallied together to keep Phelps away from shouting distance of the Church and that the garbage the Phelps clan spew was drowned out by the supportive crowd there for Cpl. Carver's family might ... just might discourage them. At some point I hope that the show of so much support for our military and for those who gave their lives will intimidate these nut-jobs. One can only hope.

Never have herd of any of them dying as of late. I would and have always said that if more people showed up and made it hard for them to be any where close to the funeral that is what is needed. Phelps can only be effective if they can disrupt if they can not be close they can not be effective, and of story. More people in support is what is needed, make the WBC have to stand a mile from the funeral amke no room for them.

Dave I agree, the Consitution says free speech is used to speek against the govnment. Now that being said a funeral of a miltary person is not the govnment as once this person is dead they are not considered to be part of the govnment. Therefore I say it is not protected under free speech.

If more people were to meet Rev Phelps or his offspring and get to talk to them in person as I have, they would come away with the feeling that somewhere God did mess up, and this problem needs to be corrected and soon. But I can say this that each and every time one of them opens up the old cr*p trap s**t comes out and it an't good.

Oh so true, now let me give you something you all may not know. the Rev Phelps was an Attorney that was disbared when he stole money from trusts. He was also a prof at one of out law schools for consitutional law. This I know because I went to one of his classes. He knows the consitution well. Is he a real minister? I say NO is he a father that has one of his children come out as being gay? YES!!!

Have been following this and I pray that this young man gets a very very good attorney to hepl him with this.
To put a stop to them, we can (and should) all join together and declare that we will boycott all businesses that advertise on television channels that show news events about these people. All ready been tryed they do not care about media they want the US Gov to give them what they want which I am not certain just what the h*ll they do want. I tis going to take a court to tell them they can have all the free speech they want but just not at funerals.
