Hello all, just graduated (and just returned home) from Parris Island.
It was a fun experience and I'll never forget it, and like all the Marines say... I'll never forget my drill instructors.
Thanks to everyone on this site who has served as a constant inspiration over the long 12 months I was in the DEP.

Congratz on graduating and getting that MOS i couldnt cause of my test scores :/
Enjoy your 10 days of home because then i hear you really start your training in the Marine Corps.

Thanks much! And yeah, I got my contract I wanted, I got the AF contract :D
I get to stay home until the 29th cause I got recruiter's assistance so it's all good :D

I remember our DI's always making fun of you guys... like this one time we were walking on the range and our DI changed the diddie for human waste...

Was that the same lead series senior drill instructor that started pointing out how that follow series platoon was all messed up too? Because if it is, I was in that platoon and thats not how it went down. What I remember my senior drill instructor saying was that instead of saying useless dittys like that, yall should have been saying dittys that would actually help you in training, and started to point out how some of the recruits werent even saying anything at all. Furthermore, he pointed out how your drill instructors didn't back their platoon up, probably because he was right. I'm going to miss Senior Drill Instructor Gunnery Sergeant Farmer. He taught me that Marines speak up for what is right and true all the time regardless of where you are, who is there, or what time it is. Good times. lol:flag:
