You were UA!!! Fortunately, the CO and I discussed the circumstances that caused you to not be at your assigned place of duty on the Internet. In light of your personal attempts to serve this Marine community, he has chosen to not find you guilty. Therefore, no entry will be made in your service record book and you are released to return to your duties.

Now, for the two who voted "No." Once identified, the CO will hold office hours on you for Article 135 (newly created) Disrespect to the Marine Corps community. The maximum sentence for this offense is six months restriction (from the web site) and reduction to "Recruit" (in your site profile).

Glad to see things are getting back to normal here. Good job. I can't wait to see more on this site.

Seems like someone has some issues they need to resolve.

Of course the site was missed and that is evident by the hundreds that have come back and will be coming here in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

This is a top notch site, not because of who runs it, but because Marines feel welcomed at a Marine site where they don’t feel like they are being taken advantage of, used or manipulated by others. Here we can feel at home.

I missed the site, because of the top caliber Marines that are here. It's a site that I not only feel at home, but a site I will gladly want other Marines I have served with to visit and if they sit down feel at home at.

To those who voted yes, most of you are the same ones who stood by Shaffer and the site regardless of what happened over the past few months. I have learned that helping and standing by other Marines is why this site was created. Kudos to you all for representing what Leatherneck.com stands for. Who ever voted no, will have one of two things happen. They will either realize they were wrong or leave the site. With or without those few, this fact still stands, Leatherneck.com is a top notch site dedicated to helping Marines. Shaffer did a hell of a job building this site from nothing more than a web address. You have a lot to be proud of Jerry; many are proud of you and what you have accomplished.

"Leatherneck" was gone , I was really sad , while in hospital
having knees replaced all I talked about and thought about was Leatherneck.com.
