A truck-load of Marines loaded into a one ton open truck heading back to the company area after a "field day" of competition & celebration! We were served a hot meal including steak, and kegs of cold beer were there for mass consumption.
It was in a truck like this, that eight months earlier, at the conclusion of a two week field exercise as we waited for our driver, the word of the assassination of JFK was passed to us.
