I am a knuckle head from Yonkers, New York. I had no idea I would join our beloved Corps, but I sure did. And thanks to my Mom, i wrote a journal! “Billy, you write down everything, ya hear.” She was not that redneck, but i listened. I really wanted to name it, “Born on Parris Island,” but it was not about East Coast or West Coast bootcamps, it is about the transition of young men and women into Marines. So I called it, “Devil Dog Diary.”
